THE BEST LITTLE GALLERY ON THE EASTERN SHORE

Bishop’s Stock Fine Arts, Crafts & Wine on Green Street in charming Snow Hill is the place I most wanted to show my work when I was planning my art career.

Named one of the best galleries in Maryland, Bishop’s Stock features monthly exhibits by the mid-Atlantic region's top artists, as well some of tastiest, most affordable wines I’ve ever had. Over the past decade, owner Ann S. Coates has promoted countless artists and other galleries across Delmarva, and I am grateful for her dedication and support.

Bishop’s Stock carries all my unframed prints, and recently introduced a selection of my ArtCards.

On Sept. 6, as part of Snow Hill's First Friday celebration, I’ll be at Bishop’s Stock for a meet-and-greet and to offer mugs and tees featuring my art. As part of the First Friday event, the Brown Box Theatre Project will present “A Mid-Summer Night’s Dream” in Sturgis Park. It’s going to be a great evening you won’t want to miss.

DELAWARE LANDMARKS FEATURED IN TWO NEW PRINTS

The Bethany Beach totem pole and the University of Delaware’s Memorial Hall are celebrated in two new “My Hometown” series prints by Erick Sahler Serigraphs.

“Woodie,” a 10-color design printed in July, features Peter Wolf Toth’s wooden Indian sculpture standing behind a passing 1949 Ford Country Squire, the legendary surfer ride affectionately known as a “woodie.”

“Memorial Hall,” an 11-color design printed in August, shows the iconic 1924 UD structure located under towering elms on the center of The Green.

There are 120 signed-and-numbered prints in each edition. Both prints measure 16 x 20 inches and sell for $115 framed and $75 unframed.

MY FIFTEEN MINUTES OF FAME (TIMES THREE)

Thanks to Jeff Dean and Patricia Rivera at Berlin/West Ocean City Life and Salisbury Monthly magazines, Molly Hilligoss at Beach to Bay Times magazine, and Dana McCabe at Delmarva Almanac online for featuring Erick Sahler Serigraphs in their August publications. The response from readers has been tremendous. You can read the stories and view the online video by clicking the publication names.

‘SWING BRIDGE’ SELLS OUT; OTHER EDITIONS CLOSE

The Chincoteague “Swing Bridge” print, which debuted Memorial Day weekend, is officially sold out. There are 120 signed-and-numbered prints in the edition, and the sell-out in less than two months is an Erick Sahler Serigraphs record.

While I have no more prints, there may still be a few available at Bishop’s Stock in Snow Hill, Bungalow Love in Berlin and Sunnyside Shop in Cambridge. Please call first.

Other ESS designs with fewer than 10 prints remaining include “Discover Assateague,” “Perdue School,” “Salisbury University” and “Wallops Island.”

FALL TOUR KICKS OFF LABOR DAY WEEKEND

Erick Sahler Serigraph’s fall art show tour kicks off Labor Day weekend at the crazy-cool yART Sale in Bethany Beach.

Held in the outdoor courtyard of Nick and Julie Kypreos’ incredible home at 33258 Kent Ave., the two-day event — my favorite outdoor show of the year — features 20 artists and crafters from across Delmarva.

I have donated the framed “Woodie” print No. 1 to the yART Sale silent auction, which benefits Contractors for a Cause. I'll also be debuting my new University of Delaware “Memorial Hall” print at the show.

Hours are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday of Labor Day weekend, and admission is free.

If you’re near the beach, the yART Sale is a great way to celebrate the end of summer and get a head start on Christmas shopping with some really incredible handmade gifts. For the full ESS fall tour schedule, see the listing below.

Thanks, as always, for your support. I hope to see you soon.

All the best,
